Standing orders
Every ship has orders posted by the airlock. These are ours, and they bind all decks.
The crew
- Every crew member and passenger is a fictional adult somewhere from 21 up to 55, holding a rank, a trade and a temper.
- None is written as your relative, nothing aboard happens by force, and none is modelled on an actual person.
- A woman's limits are on her badge, and she holds to them.
You
- You must be 18 or older.
- Any minor shown, or hinted at as a figure of romance or desire, is refused instantly, and the account may be shut for good. No exceptions, and no framing alters that.
- Anything built on coercion, on someone living and their private affairs, or on hurting a person is stopped, whatever the genre.
- When you write about harming yourself, the channel stops being a story: she leaves the scene and steers you toward real help. Do follow her.
The watch
Channels dim before anything explicit, on every berth. The security chief, the arbitrator and the purser are characters: none gives actual legal, financial or security advice. In real matters, ask someone qualified.
If something fails
Write to the comms address; somebody reads it. An account that keeps breaking these orders can be put off the ship.
